Planning the curriculumHealth-related behaviour studies in schoolsDURING the past five years, the HEC Schools Health Education Unit has processed health-related behaviour data from over 300 secondary schools in the UK, involving more than 50,000 pupils. These data have been collected using a well-researched enquiry instrument, the Health-Related Behaviour Questionnaire, now in its 10th version. By studying the health-related behaviour 'profile' of its pupils, a school is able to make more informed judgements about curriculum content than are possible by relying on intuition or hearsay.
