A longitudinal study of randomly selected participants in the 1987 North Coast New South Wales Cholesterol Reduction Campaign indi cates a 10.6 per cent reduction in mean blood choles terol at four to five months and a 9.4 per cent reduction at 12 months. Fifty-five per cent of partici pants maintained at least half of their initial reduc tion and 34 per cent further improved their initial change.
